My dad showed me this the other day. It is awesome for two reasons. First, my dad showed me something on the internet I'd never seen before which is kind of like catching an asteroid in a baseball mitt. Second, it's really interesting. Last time when I was in India I had a conversation with my cousin, who was thinking about moving to America to go to school or get work in the IT sector, that went (basically) like this:
Me: Hi cousin I haven't seen since I was 10. How's it going?
Her: What do you go to school for?
Me: I'm in film school. I want to be a writer and director.
Her: What do you know about IT?
Me: Um, that it stands for information technology. Right?
Her: What can you tell me about it?
Me: I don't know anything about it other than what it stands for.
Her: You don't know anything about IT? What else do you do?
At which point my dad started laughing and interjected that people in America don't know anything nor do they have aspirations of joining the IT sector, as we have ill advised dreams to chase such as being a director.
Anyway, it's interesting and you should watch it if you've got ten minutes. I didn't know anything about the India Institute of Technology, but after watching this and coincidentally reading about it in a book I'm reading, it really is possibly the best technological school in the world.
Go big.
